Let’s Get Together!

We love meeting our readers!

As mentioned in last week’s blog, one of the top five reasons we continue to write our books is the feedback we receive that so inspires and motivates us to carry on. The kind words, the questions asked, and the adventures families have been on as they have been mutually inspired by the stories to explore.

So, what follows are the places we will be meeting readers over the next two weekends!

Saturday morning October 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

BARNES & NOBLE in New Hartford, New York

Justin and I (Gary) will there to help support Delta Kappa Gamma, Nu Chapter and will share a bit about the story behind our stories, answer questions and be autographing copies of all of our books, including the latest volume on the series, Treasure in the Boathouse.

We will also be giving away free coloring books, Runaway Dax, to children who come while the supply lasts and they can color with members of Delta Kappa Gamma or participate in other fun activities including YouTube Science, face painting, and Ask an Educator. There will also be a sensory story time at 2pm and musical performances at noon!

The entire special event with Delta Kappa Gamma runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.!

The following day it is Community Day at the New York State Reading Association Conference:

Sunday afternoon, October 28 from 2 to 4 p.m.

New York State Reading Association Conference

At the Holiday Inn, Syracuse, New York

This free event at the NYSRA Conference from 2 to 4 p.m. is open to adults and children with the opportunity to meet a number of authors! We’ll be there signing books the entire time!

Then next weekend, November 3rd and 4th it is on to Clinton, New York for the:

Clinton Fine Arts and Crafts Festival

Clinton High School, 75 Chenango Avenue, Clinton, New York

Saturday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, November 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a great festival with more than 75 vendors present and a food court.

The event is sponsored by the Kirkland Police Benevolent Association.

We have attended this festival for several years now and was the place where we met a man who gave us the idea for the 17th book in The Adirondack Kids® series: Spies on Castle Rock and the Secrets of the Secret Code.

If these events are out of range and we can’t get together this time, we still want to thank you again so much for your ongoing support of our work!

(Hit from) Behind – the – Scenes

We finally got our vehicle back from the collision shop after being the last car hit in a chain reaction accident on Route 81 in the north country. One car in the accident was flipped upside down in the highway and two ambulances came for the injured. We were fortunate enough to both walk and drive away! Our repair man said this is the way cars should be made. Be safe out there on the roads, especially with the wintry weather soon on its way!
