This is our first blog in a number of weeks. So, where have we been?
Every spare minute through most of May has been spent finishing The Adirondack Kids® #19: Phantom of the Talus Caves!
Since we self-publish the series, the final step in the publishing process is to proofread the book and cover copy over and over and over. We also have several faithful proofreaders, each with strengths in different areas, who labor with us.
Earlier this week we signed off on all the proofs including final approval of the new cover and accompanying bookmarks. We are expecting delivery in early July with a book launch at Old Forge Hardware in Old Forge, New York on Saturday, July 6, from Noon to 2 p.m.
We will reveal the full cover when the book actually arrives. Susan Loeffler has been doing all of our full color work from the very beginning and has always produced a beautiful wrap-around cover. We loved the front and back so much we decided to do two bookmarks this time and show you a detail (above) from the artwork featured on the back cover.
The Adirondack Kids® #19: Phantom of the Talus Caves is our 19th book in 19 years and we are already working on volume #20. We also have some exciting plans for our 20th Anniversary in 2020!
